Anastasia Trutneva

Anastasia started dancing at age 5. In high school she specialized in ballet and contemporary at Claude Watson School for the Arts while competing in international ballroom championships at the Junior and Youth levels.

As an adult she has competed globally representing Canada in 16 World Championships, 6 World Cups and 2 World Dancesport Olympic Games including:

2008 – Youth 10 Dance World Championship Bronze Medalist – Denmark
2011 – Adult 10 Dance World Cup Finalist – Hungary
2011 – Adult Latin World Cup Semifinalist – Vienna, Austria
2012 – Adult Latin World Cup Finalist – Riga, Latvia
2013 – World Open Finalist – Rimini, Italy
2013 – World Dancesport Olympic Games Representative – Colombia
2013 – Adult World Cup 10 Dance Finalist – Moscow, Russia

In 2010, 2012 & 2014 Anastasia performed in “Dance Temptation” a stage show at Fallsview Casino, and toured North America in “Dancing Pro’s Live” with Alec Mazo & Edyta Slivinska from ABC’s Dancing With The Stars. Recently she won a Top Teacher Award at Tulip Classic 2017 & a Top Teacher award at Toronto Winter Ball 2017.

Anastasia is a certified ballroom instructor (Canadian Dance Sport Federation).

Kelly Stacey

Kelly started dancing at age 5 and grew up dancing tap, ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, and jazz. Teaching was a natural progression for Kelly, and by the time she was 18 she was teaching childrens’ classes at CANDANCE Academy. She went on to teach musical theatre, jazz and hip hop and choreographed competitive solos for her students.

In 2013 Kelly was chosen to perform in the opening dance routine for a Phoenix Suns basketball game working with noted choreographer Weezy from The Solar Squad in Arizona. Soon after, she turned her talents toward ballroom dancing and has never looked back. Recently, Kelly competed with her students in the Pro-Am Competitions in Montreal, La Classique Du Quebec 2015/2016, CanAm Dancesport Championship & Toronto Winter Ball 2017.

Kelly is a certified ballroom instructor (Canadian Dance Sport Federation).

Patrick Derry

Patrick Derry

Patrick began dancing at age 13 and has had a competitive dance career in tap, jazz, ballet, contemporary, hip hop & break dancing. He has won numerous overall and choreography awards and performed and taught dance in many styles across North America.

He has performed in “Carnival” the choreographers’ ball in L.A. and danced on stage with such musical stars as Alessia, Shawn Desmond, Down With Webster and Marianas Trench. Patrick has also been asked to dance for world famous choreographers Mia Michaels, Blake McGrath, Travis Wall and Stephen “Twitch” Boss. Recently he won 8th Top Teacher Award at La Classique Du Quebec 2016, Top Teacher at CanAm Dancesport Championship 2017 & Top Teacher at Toronto Winter Ball 2017.

Patrick is a certified ballroom instructor (Canadian Dance Sport Federation).

Jaime Solis-Gomez

Inspired by Michael Jackson, at the age of 14 Jaime discovered his passion for dancing by wowing audiences on dance floors at community events.  To further pursue his dance training, he joined numerous dance studios in Mexico and was a featured dancer in a music video for Sade.

In 2001 Jaime travelled to Canada to learn more about Ballroom dancing. Jaime has over 15 years of teaching experience in social Ballroom dancing and ProAm competitions with his students.  When asked what he likes most about dancing he says; “I love the energy that is created in the connection of two people dancing, and it feels good to help people feel that.”
